When the Supra first came on the scene in the late 70’s, it was immediately an icon. As demand for performance cars dwindled, the Supra took a back seat to the rest of the Toyota lineup. In 2019, that all changed as the GR Supra was unveiled. The Supra is back, and with the 2021 GR Supra it’s better than ever before. If you want to drive this icon for yourself, and you are on the hunt for a 2021 Toyota GR Supra near Los Angeles then you should check out the Toyota of Lancaster inventory of new GR Supra models. For 2021, the GR Supra comes in four trim levels with the base 2.0, and the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium above that. To top off the lineup, there is the limited A91 Edition. In terms of performance, the 2.0 trim employs a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that generates 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It pushes all that power through an 8-speed automatic.
Now the other trims get even more power. One thing that made the Supra iconic was its powerful inline 6-cylinder engine, and such an engine returns. This time it’s a 3.0-liter engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger that allows this powertrain to generate 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. It drives that power through the same 8-speed automatic transmission, and yes, all that power goes to the rear wheels. As such, all is right with the world. These 3.0-liter models make for a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds.
Of course, the 2021 GR Supra also has a variety of other features available as well. It comes standard with an 8.8-inch display screen and 18-inch alloy wheels, but you can also get it with an adaptive variable sport suspension, an active rear differential, heated and powered front seats, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, Brembo brakes and more.
