Engine Options and Power Ratings of the 2022 Toyota Avalon

Customers can choose between two available engine options for the 2022 Toyota Avalon: a 2.5-Liter Dynamic Force 4-Cylinder DOHC engine (hybrid engine) and a 3.5-Liter V6 DOHC 24-Valve D-4S engine. The hybrid engine has four drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and EV. It can deliver 176 hp at 5700 rpm and 163 lb.-ft. of torque of 3600-5200 rpm. On the other hand, the more powerful 3.5-Liter V6 engine can push out 301 hp at 6600 rpm and 267 lb.-ft. of torque at 4700 rpm. In the Avalon Touring, the Engine Sound Enhancement (ESE) bumps up the engine’s voice through the vehicle’s audio system. The Intake Sound Generator (ISG) and sport exhaust will also produce an aggressive note during acceleration.
